All there is to know about Traditional Geek
Traditional Geek is a husband and wife team based out of West Michigan. Traditional Geek started out as Kalamazoo Book Binders but transformed as we were drawn into our first two years of artist alley attendance with Jafax. From there, we became known as Traditional Geek as we expanded our wares out into Etched Glass and eventually from there into Pyrography and even a little Needle Felting here and there. We have a turtle, cat, and a dog, all of whom try very hard to help us in producing our goods.
We pride ourselves in providing the best quality product we can, and while it would be easy to simply make a design based off of the most popular of anime, video games, comics, movies, and tv shows, we stay true to ourselves by only creating a product with characters from shows, comics, manga, and video games that at least one of us is passionate about. Don't worry, if you want to commission something we have never heard of before, or something completely custom, we will still accommodate you, we just don't want to bring things to the artist alley table with us that we cannot talk about with our patrons. Because what is the point of gathering people together with a common interest in comics or anime and then not interact with them about our mutual interests and passions. So please, when you stop by, let us know what you think we should watch or read.
We have been making and selling art at Anime Conventions in Michigan for 11 years. We are taking a one year hiatus from selling at conventions in order to welcome our first born child into our lives. We still plan on working on art and selling it through our site in the mean time and welcome any commission requests you may have. Please, just be patient with us as we all learn to grow together, it might delay our working speed a little.
